Within the broadcast industry, we at Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd. are highly focused on the rapidly increasing digital and high-definition field. In addition to having introduced newly developed advanced digital high definition cameras we are continuing further development of these type products.
Within Hitachi's Industrial Video Systems Division (IVS), we have consistently worked to provide camera technology built for the future needs of our customers in several markets, including machine vision/ factory automation, microscopy/ medical, audio visual and security. We work closely with industrial video imaging professionals to develop innovative solutions to their system designs.
Additionally, digital signal processing (DSP) is proven to be a great benefit to Hitachi. Our DSP based products and chip technology are wildly used throughout several industries and by many companies.

Hitachi Kokusai Electric America is a solution provider specializing in Broadcasting, Industrial and Crucial Image Video Industries. We have been providing products for over 50 years in the Americas especially in broadcasting and production cameras. In 2015 Comark Communications became our subsidiary now called Hitachi Kokusai Electric Comark LLC. With this addition we were able to achieve a business expansion into the transmitter market.
In 2016 we are expanding our social global innovation business overseas using our newly created mid-term business plan which will increase our business. Hitachi Kokusai Electric America will play a central role in expanding this business. Specifically, we will provide customers with solutions appropriate to both North and Central America, combining different components supplied from our overseas manufacturing affiliates in Brazil, Turkey and Japan.
In addition, as a member of Hitachi Group, we will continue to satisfy our customer’s needs by collaborating with other HITACHI groups to achieve Hitachi’s goals in social innovation business.

Mr. Bob Johnston is Vice President of Hitachi Kokusai Electric America’s Industrial Video Systems Division - heading all Sales, Marketing, Production, and Technical Support for the group. Mr. Johnston has worked for Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd. for the past ten years as National Sales Manager and Central Regional Sales Manager for the Broadcast and Professional Division. Mr. Johnston has over 20 years of Sales/ Marketing experience in the Video Industry working for both dealers and other manufacturers.
Mr. Sean Moran is the COO of Hitachi Kokusai Electric America, Ltd. and Vice President of Sales for Broadcast & Professional products. Mr. Moran graduated from West Virginia University in 1985 and started his career in purchasing with Hitachi in 1986. Mr. Moran was quickly promoted to sales manager for the Broadcast & Professional Division in 1987 and promoted again to Northeast Regional Sales Manager in 1993. In February, 2007 Mr. Moran was promoted to National Sales Manager for the Broadcast & Professional Division, in charge of Sales & Marketing. In 2010 he became the V.P. of Broadcast & Professional product sales in the U.S.A. Recently, he was named COO for Hitachi Kokusai Electric America.
Mr. Moran has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the video industry, and is based in Hitachi Kokusai Electric America’s headquarters in Woodbury, N.Y.
